Getting to the South Island

On the 13th of January we got up and started driving to Wellington on the North Island to catch the ferry to the South Island. I took a Dramamine and ended up knocked out in the back seat for almost the entire trip!
The trip to Picton on the South Island was beautiful...cloudy, but amazing. The mountains and sea were breathtaking. I even saw a pod of dolphins jumping along the ferry's wake.
